2014 Spring Break trip for Peyton fund raiser

I have created an album of quilts, these are manly baby quilts that Peyton and I are trying to sell.  Peyton's school is taking a trip to Paris and London for Spring Break 2014, Mom will be chaperoning.  We are trying to raise some money for this adventure so that Peyton can feel that she has earned the trip.  Of course, quilts are the main item that we are selling as that is what Mom knows how to make!  If you would like to buy one of these please email me.  They are $50.00 each plus $10.00 for shipping if needed.  They make great gifts for expecting mothers!  Please help us out if you can!

Our cat Sally, I guess she did not want to be all alone while we were gone because I came home and found her snuggled up with the "other animals!"
 A very foggy morning.
 Gert and Grams cupcakeria!
Peyton, in the red jacket at one of her cross country meets, they had a great season.
Richard went to Slovenia again last week, he worked long hours but said the company is planning on purchasing the product that he was there to introduce to them so that is good for the company and job security!

My mom came from Idaho to spend the week so it was an all girls week.  We did some mother daughter shopping.  I asked my mom if she was getting tired of shopping (because I know Rich would have been done at that time...) and she said that she was just getting started!  I think that is how she gets her exercise, walking up and down the aisles!  We had such a nice week.  I wish she lived closer or we could visit more often.  She made cupcakes with Sophie one morning while I was working and they had a whole make believe store called "Gert and Grams".  Sophie had the best time and played the store game all weekend!

We visited a corn maze and had a blast trying to get around, the mud just kept sticking to the bottom of our shoes and it was like platform tennis shoes the whole time.  They had some buried mattresses and the girls enjoyed doing front flips onto them.

A friend of mine came over and we put up applesauce, apple butter, dried apple slices and frozen apples for pies!  I think I am done with apples for the time:)  I love that you can just ask someone if you can pick their tree and they say sure because they don't want the mess and then when you are all done you have yummy and healthy food storage.  I am not looking forward to a time of famine - I will store all I can because I love to eat!
I am getting better from the surgery also.  It is hard not to move your head - just try to do everything without turning your neck side to side or up and down and you will see!  After how amazingly painful it was on the second night after the surgery, I am actually pretty surprised that it does not really hurt at all anymore (unless I move it as indicated above!).  I hope this will be better, I really want to start biking and lifting weights again.
